Joe Byer

Joe is a marketing leader, designer, and creative strategist whose career has been shaped by a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the arts. As Marketing Director at Encore Stone Studio, he leads brand strategy, digital marketing, content creation, trade outreach, and creative direction for one of the country’s leading natural stone distributors. His work bridges traditional marketing with emerging technologies, using AI-driven creative workflows, photography, editorial design, and automation to elevate the customer experience and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and homeowners.

Joe began his career in the culinary arts, where he developed an eye for presentation, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. He later studied music as a lyric baritone, deepening his appreciation for artistry, discipline, and communication.

Before moving into marketing, Joe owned and operated a design and construction business, working directly with clients to transform homes through thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. That hands-on experience continues to inform his work today, giving him a practical understanding of architecture, construction, and the design process.

Drawing on his background in interior design, Joe combines creative vision with strategic thinking to build brands that are visually compelling and commercially effective. Whether directing editorial photography, producing luxury marketing campaigns, developing automated business systems, or crafting content that inspires designers, he believes the best marketing is rooted in authenticity, beautiful design, and meaningful human connection.

Joe lives in British Columbia with his husband, Graham, and their two black labs, Ava and Oreo.
