NARI Atlanta Committees
Any employee of a NARI Atlanta Member company is eligible to serve on a committee.
Education
Responsible for providing educational materials, seminars, workshops, publications and any educational programs that will improve the knowledge of the membership about the remodeling industry and about the business workings of the industry and/or the knowledge of the general public and others about the remodeling industry and the Chapter. Also responsible for promoting and mentoring NARI certifications and The Cutting Edge: Remodeling Education Expo, and providing guidance as appropriate.
Cutting Edge
Will provide direction, promotion and review of NARI Atlanta’s Cutting Edge educational conference program to create a higher level of professionalism in the remodeling industry. The committee will determine speakers, topics and venue. The committee shall discuss ways to increase attendance for members and non-members at the event and assist staff as needed with logistics.
Bylaws & Ethics
Responsible for reviewing the Bylaws and Policy Manual, recommending to the Board of Directors any necessary amendments. The committee is also responsible for reviewing complaints consistent with the NARI Atlanta Grievance Procedure, and upholding the ethical standards of the association.

Finance & Audit
This committee is appointed by the Board to assist in monitoring the integrity of the financial reporting process, systems of internal controls, financial statements and reports of the organization, the performance of the Organization’s internal audit function, and the compliance by the Organization with legal and regulatory requirements. The committee will also be directly responsible for appointment, compensation and oversight of the Organization’s independent auditor employed by the Organization for the purpose of preparing and issuing an audit report or related work.

Government Affairs
The committee is charged with creating an awareness of the size, importance, nature and issues of the remodeling industry and its constituency, particularly the members of NARI Atlanta. The committee will recommend a method of establishing a meaningful and effective dialogue with local legislative and regulatory bodies on issues and activities that affect the remodeling industry. This may include the monitoring and assessment of NARI’s position on federal, state or local legislation so that the best interests of the remodeling industry are served.
Programs (NARI Nights)
Responsible for increasing member value through planning and executing monthly NARI Nights meetings, annual and long term programs, special programs, networking events, awards, and other similar matters for the membership meetings and other organizational events.
Brew Bash
Charged with planning and executing all aspects of the annual Brew Bash event, along with staff. It shall provide direction on choosing a venue and negotiating the cost of services provided, and committee members will be responsible for recruiting sponsors and attendees.
Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards
Charged with the direction and review of the NARI Atlanta CotY Awards Program. It shall be responsible for a clear definition of each of the current awards and for recommending implementation or discontinuance of categories, as appropriate. In addition, it shall be charged with establishing rules, regulations, and procedures for each of the awards and the criteria for judging. It will review trophy and award design as requested. Its membership shall include general contractors and subcontractors (team members) among others. In its meetings, the committee shall discuss promotional campaigns for increasing participation and actively encourage entries. The Committee will also be responsible for coordinating an event at which the competition results will be announced.
Golf Tournament
Charged with planning and executing the annual NARI golf tournament along with staff. It shall be responsible for choosing a venue and negotiating the cost of services provided. It shall be charged with recruiting players, sponsors, and volunteers.
Marketing
The committee is charged with creating an awareness of the size, importance, nature, and issues of the remodeling industry and of the NARI Atlanta member constituency to consumers through advertising and public relations activities, and to NARI Atlanta members and the industry through internal activities and relationships with industry publications. The committee shall oversee the overall branding, marketing, and promotion of NARI Atlanta. It shall develop and execute programs and activities designed to educate consumers on the value of hiring a NARI Atlanta professional to perform their remodeling work. The committee is responsible for guiding the content and design strategy for the digital magazine and directory, website, and social media sites.
Membership
The Membership Committee is charged with the support of raising the value of membership and the development of member recruitment and retention strategies. The committee shall develop membership growth goals and strategies and campaigns or programs that can be coordinated. The committee will be instrumental in welcoming and retaining members, through email, phone and personal contact. Their commitment to encouraging continued membership is vital to the goals of NARI Atlanta.
"The EPG"
Emerging Professionals Group
The group's purpose is to help NARI Atlanta members, 35 years old and younger and/or within their first 5 years working in the remodeling industry, achieve their full potential by offering a place to meet other members in their age group, career path, and with the same goals. Group members are encouraged to recruit experienced NARI Atlanta members to serve as Mentors.
SkillsUSA
This task force was created to establish and cultivate a relationship between NARI Atlanta and the SkillsUSA local Chapter and annual TeamWorks competition. The National SkillsUSA competition will be held in Atlanta through at least 2026.
NARI Cares
NARI Atlanta Foundation, Inc. (NARI Cares) is the 501(c)3 charitable arm of NARI Atlanta. The foundation's mission is to provide opportunities for NARI Atlanta members to utilize their professional skills and resources in the service of the community or other charities. The dedicated Board of Directors is responsible for selecting worthy projects and for recruiting volunteers and companies to donate their time and/or materials towards fulfilling the foundation's mission.
