Because of our work, more than $420,000 was invested in local communities that year. We served more than 600 people and eliminated more than 200 home health and safety hazards in the homes of low-income seniors and veterans. More than 500 individuals donated over 3,000 hours of service to support those in need of safe and healthy housing. Our repairs eliminated nearly 100 home hazards. Over 90% of our clients are seniors who want to age in place comfortably and safely.
As a local leader in home repair for 30 years, Rebuilding Together Atlanta has been committed to fulfilling our mission to repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives by making homes safer and healthier for senior, low-income, veterans with disabilities at no cost across the Atlanta metropolitan area. By providing preventive home modifications to the homes of low-income to extremely low-income older adults often with mobility issues and other disabilities, Rebuilding Together Atlanta works to improve accessibility, reduce falls, increase independence, and facilitate aging in place for many of the most vulnerable members of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Our signature program “Safe and Healthy Homes” is designed to improve aging-in-place outcomes for low-income, older adult homeowners through the modification of their home environment to meet their specific needs.
